미·중 정상회담, 예상 훌쩍 뛰어넘은 3시간 7분만에 종료

(서울=뉴스1) 이서영 기자 = 조 바이든 미국 대통령과 시진핑 중국 국가주석의 첫 대면 정상회담이 3시간 7분 동안 진행된 뒤 종료됐다.

14일 양국 정상은 이날 인도네시아 발리에서 열린 주요 20개국(G20) 정상회의 개최를 계기로 호텔에서 만나 악수를 나눈 뒤 현지시간으로 5시41분(CNN 기준)에 회담에 돌입했다. 회담은 3시간을 훌쩍 넘겨 중국관영 CCTV 보도 기준으로 현지시간 8시48분에 종료됐다.

생각보다 길게 회담한 두 정상들. 바이든 대통령이 2021년 취임한 이후 시진핑주석과 직접 만난 건 처음이라고 하네요.
