Years from now women get their 10th kid, they try to claim it but the new dictator replies "new management, we no longer run that deal"
Promo expired
Who are they even gonna fuck to have 10 kids? All the father aged men are getting slaughtered already in Ukraine.
50 to 60 year old Russian men will become the Oligarchs of Poon!
Is that like being a Sultan of Swing?
7.5 years minimum, assuming all pregnancies go smoothly and you do it literally back to back. Factoring in inflation, the risk of Putin withdrawing on his promise etc, this sounds like a very shit deal.
Just give birth to multiple twins, triplets, etc. Easy peasy
pshhh go Octomom and bang it out in 2x
"hold my beer" - Octomom
Who even cares about the risk of the money not being paid out; even in Russia $16k won't cover the cost of raising one child to 16 - 18 years old, let along 10.
This page of costs to Russia parents make it sound like 1 kid is about $1000/yr ($50/mo for food + $300/yr clothes + $100/yr other expenses like beds/increased rent/kindergarten taking numbers from here. (Warning linked website is state owned by Russia and labeled as propaganda in the Guardian and Slate).
So yeah, one kid for 18 years will cost ~$18k and ten will cost ~$180k.

"it clearly states all children must be living and unfortunately one of yours passed away from that fall out of a window next week."
"Wait, what?"
One of your kids passed away from the fall out in the zone
‘New management, who dis?’
Even if 85 year old Putin were still in power (god forbid), they’d still probably back out.
Putin: nah, Fineprint said they had to be alive, your first five kids already died liberating Ukraine.
"Let me speak to whoever the manager is now then.
"He's not here but I can give you our corporate customer service number."
Then they hold up their hand and take one finger down at a time, leaving the middle finger at the end.
My brother lives in Japan and for a while the prefecture he lives in offered a free minivan for having 3 or more kids lol
That’s not a bad idea tho… actually useful if you already have them anyways
And if they were electric, it would kickstart a new wave of families using majority electric vehicles. Cool idea
Not gonna happen until Toyota finally admits their hydrogen vehicles have gone the way of the Edsel lol
Yeah at least that's actually useful for the family and it's only 3 kids which some people might choose to have any way (although it's probably not as common in Japan) Although the whole reward you for having X kids thing is creepy as a whole
Is it a reward or just help from the government? Because by calling it a reward you make it 10x more creepy than it actually is lol. It's like saying child support is a reward for getting knocked up.
I know a lot of the cars in Japan tend to be smaller so getting a vehicle from the government that's actually able to transport your family seems normal and helpful.
Did it work? Are there lots of families now driving around in minivans?
Idk!! Last I heard Japan was still experiencing super low birth rates so maybe not :-/
Maybe they need to start by offering sedans to incentivize having the first kid?
Because Japan's birthrate problem isn't practical (i.e. space, money etc), but cultural. Primarily, at least. There are always many factors.
I hear or have read that as much as 40 percent of the population under 30 doesn't date.
i mean the problem is nothing to do with the minivans and its a combination of work/life balance, women who wants more than just a mother, men/women become permanent shut ins, rising cost, etc
It's kinda crazy how much the stay at home mom thing has been going in Japan. Idk how anyone who isn't very very wealthy can afford a single family income. Yet it seems like there's a big stigma in Japan for women who work while raising kids (to say nothing of childcare costs).
Japan demands a lot of things of their people culturally and doesn't seem to understand why those things plummet birth rates. But it's really obvious. No one wants to go on a date after a 12 hour shift at work. No one wants to go one a date when they're expected to care for elderly family members - ironic as fuck when the birth rate needs to be upped to take care of the elderly. And no one really can raise a family in these teeny tiny "efficiency" apartments that litter Tokyo, where a lot of the high paying jobs are.
Now add inflation, rising cost of living, rising housing costs, environmental collapse, political collapse, pandemics and war, and I'm stunned anyone at all is having children.
Lol that sounds better. I think having the first kid is the one that gets delayed the most, people aren't gonna easily make one or two extra just to reach a reward
Maybe in the countryside, but in suburban areas, people don't really use cars because gas is expensive and parking can be expensive and limited as well. When I lived in Japan, my parents and I commuted to work/school with some combination of walking and public transit and only used the car for something like a camping trip or to go somewhere far or with more limited public transit, so maybe like once a week. Pretty much everything from grocery shopping, going to a park, hanging out with friends, to commuting to work/school can be done without a car (and is often more convenient to do so) in suburban Japan.
That sounds like something that r/fuckcars would enjoy
Start printing "I had 10 children and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" shirts.

And how does this help them now? He should double the bonus if they can make sure to have birthed all ten kids 17 years ago.
You don't think the Ukrainians will start freaking out when the Russians start dropping BABIES from the sky?!
Would these be…infantry then?
We have drones, they have toddlers
I'm sure I've seen this weapon in Worms
I would assume it’s more about work force and productivity than war. Its unlikely Russia will get wiped off the map, but if they lose much of their work force than they will go through other hardships like less innovation, less workers, less collected tax, etc. Probably a lot of the same results of an aging society.
Yea, from the article;
Russia's population has been in decline for decades, with figures released in July by the state statistics agency Rosstat showing it had fallen to 145.1 million.
It is estimated that Russia's population will fall to about 132 million in the next two decades, with the United Nations predicting that in a worst-case scenario, its population could almost halve, to just 83 million by the start of the next century.
They have lost maybe 30 thousand in the war (upper estimates) . Thats barely statistically noise.
Its good for the environment for the population to drop but not good for a country that needs tax income
Actually....for 15 years...much worse workforce because all the women will be producing babies...."We have simple job in Bomb Factory for you pregnant ones".
He doesn’t have the money. It’s all in oligarchs’ pockets and French chalets in the Alps and basements abroad full of gold and real estate investments. Even the reactive armor in the new tanks was stuffed with hard rubber instead of explosive charges so they could steal the money meant for buying the explosives, it’s been a kleptocracy in Russia for decades now.
You know what's the best time to implement such measurements? 17 years ago. But next best date is today.
And it's not that ridiculous. Many countries give you money in return for children.
Or, hear me out here, don't start aggressive wars for territory. Especially Russia, who's known for paying for wars in blood.
Probably both, Russia demographics was already falling hard, the war is making it fall even harder
Russians know living in Russia is so oppressive that they’re not willing to bring more Russians into the world.
And no one wants to immigrate there. The right can crow about migration all day but countries are like nightclubs. If people aren’t clamoring to get in it’s probably not a good sign.
Edit: some psycho Russian bot is trying to PM with links to crazy trump websites claiming tons of people are just dying to immigrate there, more than even the UK. Just thought I’d update you guys on the real facts I guess.
Edit #2: looks like bot 2 is responding with the same link and same message below. Well they are nothing if not efficient.

*the void
The Soviets did the same, the Mother Heroine badge was first introduced in 1944 and existed until 1991.
Looks like it exists again as of 2 days ago! From the Wikipedia article:
"On August 15, 2022 Vladimir Putin signed a decree reviving the honorary title. "
If he were smart he’d start a free online dating service for the Russian widows, lure in foreign men and then draft them, better than waiting 18 years
He’s far too xenophobic for this! Foreign men bring foreign ideas. Better to brainwash babies towards the “right” way of thinking.
He's had no problem kidnapping Ukrainian children, though.
To be fair, the sort of sad schmuck who not only lusts after Russian brides but is dumb enough to think one would want him is probably the sort of creepy right-winger who admires Russia for being "Traditionalist."*
*hates non-whites and queers
In Putins Russia, you go to mail-order bride.
“brides mail order you”
Russia tried this with teen sex summer camps back around 2007.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-471324/Sex-motherland-Russian-youths-encouraged-procreate-camp.html
bruh what
if russia had the brain then they wuld just import orphans from other countries
in most countries society doesn't give a shit about orphanages so they are understaffed and not supported well financialy
“You don’t have to be lonely, at RussiansOnly.com!”
If the country had anything to offer, they could get immigrants into it. But it’s a pretty crap place to live
Its marginally better than some of the neighboring countries like Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Which have been badly hit by the reduction in remittances (money sent by their citizens back home to their families), since the war began.
Lol I was gonna say exactly this. Western European countries have no problems with this but Russia is such a poor country that no immigrants want to go there, except maybe North Koreans since it’s better.
Any western man who spends a month in Moscow will be running for Finland after 6 days. Russia isn’t like any place I’ve ever been. I would rather live in New Delhi than Moscow. Saint Petersburg is slightly better than Moscow and a lot closer to Finland.
Sounds like deep down you really just want to live in Finland
And advertise it hard in China. The one child policy caused a huge imbalance in the population and there's way too many men.
Ah yes, the feared neckbeard battalion. Universally recognizable by their blue fedoras.
Peter Zeihan is a decent source* for looking at the state of the world through the eyes of demographics and the potential of military and economy. He's been saying Russia is in a demographic disaster for years. I'm sure this war has just hastened the decline.
https://zeihan.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/18-russia-population-2020-wnotes-01-scaled.jpg
decent for the link between demographics and a country's prosperity. He is a little too focused on how demographics impact a country and seems to think its everything.
considering these babies wont be soldiers for at least 14-16 years im not sure how that would help Putin out
My theory is, get them to have 10 kids now, then they can send their fathers to war without having to worry about future population problems.
If you’re expecting to father 10 kids before you get sent to war, you aren’t expecting to go war any time soon (even with several sets of unexpected quadruplets).
If you’re planning for decades of conflicts, then it’s useful.
i dunno end of WW2 it got dropped to 8-10 years, but dont think they were super effective
The government of Alberta in Canada just had an essay contest for women where the third place prize winner suggested awarding medals for births and made a bunch of not so subtle racist / replacement theory references in their “essay”. It fucking sucks.
So there were only three contestants?
Sadly no, there was 4 or 5. They have since retroactively changed the winners.

You don't need funerals when you don't even know that your 18 year old son is dead in a ditch while you were never aware he was sent off to war
I mean once they lose the war and nobody comes back I'm pretty sure they'll have a funeral
That’s the trick, the war won’t “end.” Russia will keep up with the fuckery in some way even if pushed back.
As long as they sent back some washing machines and toilets…
$16k is also nothing. Imagine being pregnant for almost a full decade to get that. Plus, obviously needing to raise 10 kids.
Assuming there is ever a payout. Their wounded soldiers aren't getting the compensation they were promised.
This business venture will earn you far more money than any of those poor mothers who believe Putin here.
We've lost this war, let's prepare for the next.

and this would partially explain russias weird 30-year cycle of empire-lust.
1850s - Crimean War
1870s - War in Turkey
1910s - fall of the Tsars/revolution
1949-62 - peak Cold War/Korea/etc.
1979-89 - invasion of Afghanistan
2014-present - invasion of Ukraine
Checks out.
Remindme! 28 years

Losing manpower is tight.
Wow wow wow wow... wow
fucking up infrastructure is super easy, barely an inconvenience
Super easy, barely an inconvenience.
“Conservatives want live babies so they can grow up to be dead soldiers.” -George Carlin
It’s true in America and it’s true in Russia.
Now we know the average value of a Russian life is about $1,600.
$1600 worth of rubles, which at this point is probably a less useful currency than WoW gold.
I don't even play WoW and I value its gold higher than the ruble.
Currently, $20 gets you 195,094 gold in WoW (changes depending on demand). 1,600 Rubles is approximately $26.45 USD. Russians are worth about 258k WoW gold.
lol edit: Faction Change is $30
edit 2:
Soo... 15,997,708 WoW Gold OR about a 10-year subscription.
When you factor in that the mother will be killed by it, you can subtract 145.5$
Seriously. Women aren't machines that you insert sperm into and out comes a baby. Each pregnancy can do lasting damage to a woman's body.
Risk of complications increases with each subsequent pregnancy, especially if they are done too close together.
https://www.cnn.com/2011/11/01/health/multiple-pregnancies-mother
Using women's bodys like that to replenish a population that you willingly sacrificed in a pointless and unjust war is fucking disgusting. I guess I have to give them credit that they aren't forcing it (yet), but still. Expecting women to go through that much trauma only to probably see their children die 25 years from now on the next war should be worth waaaay more than $16k.
He can't even promise their military their pay.
Oh he's good at promising. Only none of his promises ever come to reality. But brainwashed public seems to salivate and actually believe him even after so many years of him robbing the country
What a cheapskate. Hitler awarded something at four children. Back to dictator school then!
That’s how it is now. Families are paid whenever a child is born. I assume $16k is a bonus for tenth.
16k for something that takes like 8 years to happen is a pretty shitty bonus
Thats why you gotta speedrun it and have 10 children all at once.
Octomom is quaking.
Just have pentuplets twice easy
They get an extra $4k if they take them to Ukraine for "special training exercises" before grade school.
...Man, I'm being facetious, but I'm upset just typing that because it's probably not far from the truth...
Do they still pay for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome babies? I've heard that Russia has a problem with that - or is it just men who drink to excess?
Doesn't need to be excessive drinking for the kids to have problems. 13 drinks in a month of pregnancy or two drinks in one sitting during pregnancy can cause:
https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/fasd/features/neurobehavioral-disorder-alcohol.html
Alcohol use above 5 units per week (~2-3 drinks) also reduces sperm quality and testosterone levels.
https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/4/9/e005462
Good to cut down if you're trying to conceive.
Oh, that explains a lot actually
That wasn’t nearly as weird at the time either. That was like….one extra above the norm
But Hitler also actually managed to success with blitzkrieg tactics.
Lets not pretend that Hitler was any kind of military genius. In fact if he didn't start a pissing match with Stalin Europe would probably look quite different today.
You know, we really don't talk about his successes enough.
Right? The man mightve done some whack shit but in the end he did end up killing Hitler
Like he promised to pay his soldiers In ukraine lol
If they dead, they won't complain about missing paycheques.
Dead? Your husband not dead. Your husband ran away [chucks bodies into mobile crematorium] so we don't pay even single potato.
Hey, Vlad. It's a vagina, not a clown car.
Vagina pronounced the way trump says "China"
Or if you know who Chris Chan is, how he used 'China' as a replacement word for 'vagina'
Recently fell down that rabbit hole and marathoned the YT doc about them. What a fucking ride. Never even had a chance...
I’m gonna stop you right there.
Even Hitler wasn't that cheap. It costs four times that just to put ten kids in braces. I guess he means for them to be dead by age 18.
Cannon fodder doesn’t need braces
Lisa needs braces
Dental plan.
It is not hyperbole by any means to state that this exact move was done by the Nazis.
There were even medals awarded for this.
Umm, in addition to the Hitler vibes, it will take her at MINIMUM 10 years to have that number of children. She’s going to spend multiple times that amount raising all of those kids to adulthood. They’ve got to wait a decade for a payout that won’t surpass what she will spend on the kids. This isn’t even appealing.
Also kinda taxing on the body, if the woman isn't able to access top notch nutrition and medical support.
Looking at it purely economically (not saying I think it's a good thing)... If someone is so poor that they consider doing this to their body for lousy 16K, they might as well consider becoming a surrogate mom once or twice for rich people somewhere outside of Russia. Pays much better and usually health care is paid for by the want-to-be parents.
I know this was meant in good faith but it's the understatement of the century haha
Yeah, true. Even one child can be taxing and damage the body of the mother permanently.
Too many forget that a pregnancy drains the body.
Too many, especially politicians, think we women can birth babies like a PEZ dispenser without any consequences on our health. So they demand it as if it is an easy task -_-
Not kinda, and you can’t never guess which pregnancy may end up with a c-section or other emergency. My doc discouraged me from having kids after 3 c-sections because of an increased risk of uterus rupture. Can’t imagine a Russian woman in this baby race who let’s herself get pregnant after multiple c-sections and then something like this happens …
That on top of it. And I doubt that many Russian women have access to good medical treatment.
Ideally you'd wait 18 months between birth and conception. As someone who recently had two kids 15 months apart, I am STILL dealing with health issues (hair loss, tooth loss, vitamin deficiencies, C-section healing, all my nails have broken down past my nail beds, not to mention weight and muscle changes) 6 months later. And I had 'easy/healthy' pregnancies with full access to doctors and nutritious foods. This doesn't sound appealing at all and I'd argue it will lead to an astounding number of women's deaths and miscarriages.
Also likely suicides, since postpartum depression is reasonably common.
I went to Russia to have ten babies and all I got was this lousy maternal fatality.
Well, it could be faster in theory if you account for twins.
This also works if you’ve already had and raised 10 Russian citizens so good for the already existing mothers of that many kids I guess? Maybe moms with nine kids might consider one more, but otherwise totally not worth it.
And that's quite a few opportunities to die in childbirth so with luck noone will be there to demand the money at all! It's a foolproof scheme!
Just 3 sets of triplet boys and a baby Masha at the end as someone needs to take care of old mother.
$1.6 k per child? You'd use that up on diapers in the first year. Bad deal, Russian women.
Comment deleted by user
You mean that time they planned to split their earnings 50-50-50 to keep it fair.
Just water under the fridge now.
As bad as their economy will get, they won't need diapers. They'll shit directly in the pot
Remember - never trust Russia!

16,000 rubles pinky promise!
16 thousand don't-give-a-fucks for whatever happens to those children
If anybody has read the book World War Z, not the movie, something similar happens. The Russians bleed countless men to retake the motherland, and after creating a autocratic theocracy, women are basically used as baby making cattle. One of the interviews is with a women who is part of it. Super dark and always stuck with me as the most Russian way to handle the situation.
Knew this reminded me of something.
Thanks for confirming I’m not crazy ( at least about this).
Yep he needs more cannon fodder. 10 kids? 16k won't go far even in Russia. That kind of level of shit has got to be worth 160k at least....
It’s not the cannon fodder but the ratio of workers to retirees. According to Ukrainian estimates about 43k Russian troops have been killed. Even if you triple this number that’s still only about .13 million dead Russians in a country with a country of 144.1 million people.
The bigger issue is that Russia is facing a demographic crunch and doesn’t have the workers needed to support the aging population. To make matters worse Europe is shifting away from Russian oil and gas meaning a huge source of revenue is about to decline and talented workers aren’t exactly beating down the door to immigrate to Russia. In fact when the war began there was an exodus of Russians fleeing the country. If Russia can’t get their birthrate it will be hard for them to have enough tax revenue to support their government and elderly and it will make Russia even less attractive for foreign invwstment.
Russian mothers, the world offers you much more for a dead Putin.
"I sent your sons to die in war. I will give you a few thousand dollars if you have 10 more!"
If Putin was dead you might still have your boys.
Think about all the other mothers who will have their sons forced into an incompetent military to die for nothing.
Better to just serve Putin his death, as soon as possible.
You can literally make that same amount of money by having a job for a whole year without having any single child.
$1.6k per child seems insultingly low
In other words: "We're going to lose so many men fighting nonsensical wars that we'll need our women to act like soldier-producing gumball machines."
Translation: I've been playing a lot of StarCraft lately and I have an idea how to win our conflicts.

Russia has extremely low birth rate their population has been contracting in size. Saw a report that analyzed birth rates of many countries. Russia China USA and western Europe's citizen birth rates are way down compared to death rates....populations all over are contracting except in third world areas.
But the US and many European countries maintain "fairly" healthy demographics due to immigration. NO ONE is moving to Russia/China. China's population has already started contracting, and Russia's population is nearing freefall.
Probably a good thing for planet earth to have less consumers
To be honest that isn’t a lot lol. Perhaps in Russia, but to put your body through hell at least 10 times for half of a minimum wage salary in America? I don’t think so.
Or try not killing off your youth in a stupid war.
cannon fodder
Long-term planning.
Hitler vibes
Worse. Ceaucesceu vibes. He was obsessed with demographics and did the same fucking thing, except women who bore 10 children had a title called Heroine Mothers.
His Decree 770 is the reason why Romania is the most pro-choice country in Europe, especially once the revelations about Cighid came about. Not to mention, contraceptives were made illegal, gynecologist check-ups were mandatory, and any miscarriage reported would grant a visit from the Securitate.
Heroin mothers is the literally what this is being called in Russia as per the article this is an old bar created by Stalin that was discontinued in the 90s which Putin is bringing back to the table

Abortion rate in Russia is highest in the World.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_abortion_statistics
Holy crap, USSR had an estimated 269 million abortions. Thats a hard number to put into perspective.
It gets much easier to put in perspective when you consider that a) other forms of birth control were hard to access in the USSR, and b) abortion was much more available than elsewhere in the world
These are the people who think a new Lada is fair payment for a dead son.
Jokes on them — Lada had to shut down production after the sanctions because they can’t source some of the components.
You couldn’t pay me 1mil to have ten children
If you properly care for your children and their future, they will cost a lot more which means only poor idiots will get motivated by this who will produce more poor idiots.
Poor idiots is what's needed to keep a dictatorship running.
Is it 16k per child or 16k for all 10 kids? Because if it is 16k for 10 kids, that incentive is not even remotely proportionate to the effort involved.
Assuming 2 years between births, that's being pregnant or nursing an infant non-stop for 20 years. Most people's bodies can't keep up with that level of childbirth.
That won't even cover 10% of the cost of their funerals after he sends them off to die in some war he started b/c his ego is bruised.
If he's already not paying/feeding soldiers, why would anyone trust him on this?
Surely supreme leader will provide. If he doesn't, the west is to blame. Somehow.
That’s one shitty deal

Haven't they kidnapped large numbers of Ukrainian children, though?
he is gone beyond saving. we need to send in a seal team to take him out.
Wow that’s actually the dumbest/saddest thing I’ve ever heard from a modern leader.
