미국 달러강세에 대한 흥미로운 한국어 기사를 보고 이에 관련한 영어 영상도 함께 보게 되었습니다. 

요즘 계속 달러강세로 힘든 한국 기업들이 많습니다. 특히, 수출기업들이죠. 

주간경향에서 "강 달러 시대, 미국은 어떻게 국제정치를 지배하는가"라는 제목으로 흥미로운 기사를 냈습니다. 

원달러 환율이 1300원대를 넘어서 '강달러'를 넘어 '슈퍼달러'시대에 대한 우려를 만들고 있다 합니다. 

영어 영상의 제목은 "미국은 어떻게 달러를 세상에서 가장 강력한 화폐로 만들었을까"입니다. 

2차세계대전 이전까지의 기축통화는 당시 최강대국이였던 영국의 화폐인 파운드였는데요 영국의 위상이 흔들리기 시작하면서 파운드를 기축통화로 쓰는 나라가 줄어들기 시작했죠. 그러고선 각국은 새로운 무역질서를 구축하기 위해 어떤 돈을 기축통화로 삼아야 안전할까 논쟁을 벌였습니다. 

그 결과 새로운 기축통화로 낙점된 것이 새로운 초강대국 미국의 달러였습니다. 이에는 조건이 붙어있었다고 하는데요 달러가 그냥 종이쪼가리가 아니란 사실을 보장하기 위해 미국정부는 보유한 금의 양만큼만 달러를 찍어내기로 국제사회에게 약속을 한 것입니다.

Hey I have always been thinking why US is so powerful and why they always interfere in internal matters of any other country and why not other countries ignore them or boycott US dollars.

But now its very clear to me also I understand now why GDP of any country, net worth of any individual or organization, etc. are expressed mostly in US dollars.

항상 왜 미국이 그렇게 강한지 왜 항상 다른 나라의 내정간섭을 할 지 그리고 왜 나머지 다른 나라들은 미국을 무시하지 못하고 미국달러를 보이콧하지 못하는지 궁금했었습니다. 

하지만 이제 왜 모든 나라의 GDP가 미국 달러로 표현되는 지 아주 명확해졌습니다.

If we want our currency to be strong then we should definitely take some cues from the US. No matter how much wrong things they've done and how much we hate them, we can't deny the fact that there's actually a lot of things that we as a responsible nation can learn from the United States

I have this question in my mind since my college days ..why everybody trade in US Dollar only...I have understood half of trade strategy..if possible do one more video with more examples..to understand it clearly...studies

대학시절부터 늘 궁금했었어요. 왜 모두들 미국 달러만으로 무역을 하는지.. 무역 전략의 반은 이해했어요.

Now US dollar became double edge sword to US Itself. Most multinational companies keep their operations outside world and get 40% revenue. Whenever the dollar becomes stronger  , their revenues comes down and affect their profits.

Also, the US can keep on printing Dollars without huge inflation (as they have lots of Dollars in circulation so devaluation would be smaller).

It's definitely good politics that made US so strong ,no doubt ,cause you see  US and British Canada had same economy and size and population by 1800 yet US took over every country on the world and Canada is dependent on US for its Pacific and Atlantic security

After this information I felt as an investor ,Investing in US companies will make US more stronger . That means, If I invest in US companies I may benefit out of it but not my country

이 영상 보고 투자자로서 미국 회사들에 투자하는 것이 미국을 훨씬 더 강하게 만든다는 것을 알았네요.
