There is a large russian community in Australia, googling gives that they are in hundreds of thousands, many most likely with permanent visa or dual citizens.

Isolating Russians to Russia does nothing but benefit Putin.

When you're stuck in Russia, you're only listening to what the state media allows you to hear.

Russians traveling and seeing aspects of the war they aren't seeing in their own media does nothing but benefit Ukraine and hurts Putin's propaganda strategy.

러시아를 고립시키는 일은 푸틴에게 이득만 줍니다. 러시아에만 갇혀있다면 국영방송만 들을 수 있어요. 러시아인들이 밖으로 여행하면서 자국에서 듣거나 볼 수 없는 것을 밖에서 보아야지요. 그래야 그게 푸틴의 전략에 해가 간다는 걸 알게 됩니다.

Considering how strict Australian visa policies are re old sentences etc, this is surprising. Russian tourists have already demonstrated that they are a threat to public safety all over Europe, so should be a no-brainer for Australia to deny entry.

호주 비자 정책이 얼마나 까다로운 지 생각해보면 이건 놀라운 일입니다. 러시아 관광객들은 이미 모든 유럽국가의 공공안전에 위협이 된다는 것을 보여주었기 때문에 호주가 입국을 거절한다고 해도 놀랍지 않거든요.

I have many Russian friends. Russian people are lovely and it's not their fault they have a psychopath running their country. Please don't discriminate against people who have done nothing wrong.

Why have some European countries agreed to ban Russian tourists? It's not because they don't like Russians but because the majority of Russians like their Govt too much, Due to propaganda the majority support war in Ukraine.
