(해외반응) 서울시, 퀴어축제조직위의 서울광장 사용 불허 

서울시가 퀴어축제조직위의 서울광장 사용을 불허했습니다. 해당 축제가 예정된 7월 1일 광장 사용한 먼저 신고한 다른 행사와 겹치고 조례상 어린이와 청소년 관련 행사가 우선한다는 이유에서지만 퀴어조직위측은 조정절차가 제대로 이루어지지 않았다고 비판했습니다.

I hope they can make a bigger and better one elsewhere.

I went to the first one held at the plaza a few years ago, and it was unforgettable. The raw, blind hatred of the protesters on the outside was something I had never seen or felt before. With the juxtaposition of the fun, warm-hearted, welcoming atmosphere on the inside... it was memorable, and I was glad I went to show my support.

퀴어조직위가 더 크고 더 나은 행사를 다른 곳에서 열길 바래요. 몇년전에 서울광장에서 열린 퀴어축제를 가봤는데 잊지못할 날이였어요. 다른 편에서의 증오로 가득찬 시위자들은 이 전에 내가 보거나 느끼지 못한 그 어떤 것이였고요. 또 다른쪽에선 재미와 따뜻한 마음으로 가득차있는 분위기였거든요. 기억에 남을 만한 행사였고 나도 응원할 수 있어서 좋았어요.

The organisers stated in the same tweet/thread that they will go ahead with the festival on the first of July at another venue, no matter what.

조직위가 똑같은 내용으로 트위터에 올렸는데 7월 1일 다른 장소에서 무슨 일이 있어도 축제를 할 거라고 하네요.

It seems like theres a bit more to it. Appranrly two events were booked during that date. One is this, and the other is the youth recovery whatever. Events relating to teens and children will apprantly have the highest priority, therefore the ruling.

뉴스를 자세히 보면 같은 날짜에 예약된 다른 행사들이 있었어요. 하나는 이 퀴어축제고 다른 축제는 청소년 관련 축제였어요. 청소년 행사와 관련된 축제들은 가장 우선순위가 높다고 하네요.

I'm hardly surprised but very very angry. Tired of the Christians imposing their belief onto everybody else.

놀랄일은 아니지만 화가 나네요. 기독교인들의 마인드를 다른 이들에게도 강요하는 거 질립니다.

there was some government law passed about taxes or something being reduced for same-sex couples (if i remember reading about it correctly). i highly doubted that as a hopeful sign as what the post said, and now this. Korea is also not moving forward at all

어디서 읽기론 어떤 나라 정부들은 동성 커플을 위한 세금 감면 법을 통과시켰다고 봤어요. 이런 걸 보면 한국은 전혀 전진하고 있지 않네요.
