스노우보더의 극적인 구조

만년설로 뒤덮인 산을 질주하던 스키어가 뭔가를 보고 갑자기 멈춰서더니 눈더미를 파헤칩니다. 그리고 기적적인 구조를 하기 시작합니다. 그가 구조한 사람은 갑작스런 눈사태로 거꾸로 눈속에 박혀서 질식되어 사망하기 전까지 수분밖에 남지 않은 사람이였습니다. 천운이였는지 스키어는 휴대용 삽까지 가지고 있었습니다. 

이 둘은 친구가 되었다고 합니다. 

올해 3월 3일 세상에서 가장 많은 눈이 내린다는 워싱턴주 베이커 마운틴에서 있었던 일입니다.

When I first saw the video, I breathed sigh of relief when I saw the skier had his packable shovel. Not only that mean he was trained and aware of the procedure, but those lightweight shovels can literally mean the difference between life and death. So glad to see these men walk off the mountain! 

이 영상을 처음 봤을때 스키어가 휴대용 삽을 가지고 있어 정말 다행이라고 생각했어요. 스키어는 훈련받는 사람이였고 절차까지 알고 있었을뿐만 아니라 가벼운 삽까지 가지고 있어 생사가 갈렸어요. 이 두 사람이 함께 산을 빠져나올 수 있어 너무 다행입니다.

My cousin died in an avalanche while snowboarding on Baker. I'm so glad that this gentleman was there and took such quick action. He's a true hero! This is also a great reminder of how important it is to be prepared and to stay alert to what is going on around you.

Great story… the look on the rescued man’s face at the very end… looking at the person who saved his life…he’s probably never looked at anyone like that before.  Truly priceless.

I was in the same situation once. I was snowboarding out of bounds at Winter Park and slid up underneath a tree. I wasn't covered completely but I couldn't move. I must have waited 45 minutes before some guys found me. Skiing is one of the most dangerous sports but it sure is fun! Most people on the slopes will help you out of a pickle.

나도 한번 같은 상황에 있었던 적이 있어요. 윈터파크에서 스노우보드타고 있었는데 나무 밑에서 미끄러졌고 완전이 눈에 덮히진 않았지만 움직일 순 없었죠. 누군가가 날 발견하기 까니 45분을 기다렸어야했어요. 스키는 가장 위험한 스포츠 중의 하나지만 정말 재밌긴하죠. 슬로프에서 대부분의 사람들은 어려운 상황의 사람을 도와 줄 준비가 되어있어요.
