(미국반응) 펜타닐에 붕괴중인 미국

현재 미국은 악마의 마약이라고도 불리우는 펜타닐과 전쟁중이라고 합니다. 2015년부터 2021년 6년동안 펜타닐에 의한 사망자가 21만명이나 된다고 하네요. 코로나로 인한 사망자보다 펜타닐 중독으로 사망한 사람이 더 많고요. 원래 펜타닐은 말기 암이나 극심한 고통이 있는 환자에게 투여하는 마약성 진통제입니다. 이 펜타닐로 인해 유명배우를 비롯한 수많은 사람들이 매년 죽어가고있습니다. 

마약의 광범위한 확산에 미국에서는 여러가지 사고가 급증하고 있습니다. 심지어 최근에는 학교 교사가 약에 취해 학생들 앞에서 기절하는 일도 있었습니다.

예전에 호주에서 중독된 적 있었어요. 다행히도 보건시스템에 대체할 수 있는 중독되지 않는 약을 주어 기회가 생겼죠.

I was taking what they call pressed pills. I didn't know exactly what that meant but it turned out it was fentanyl. It was helping my pain I was so much happier but I couldn't keep taking it.

압축환으로 된 걸 먹은 적 있어요. 정확히 뭔지도 몰랐지만 펜타닐인 걸 알게 되었죠. 고통을 완화하는 데 도움이 되어 좋았지만 계속해서 복용할 순 없었습니다.

The politicians need to step up their game and actually do something. Make rehab more affordable and prisons need to rehab these offenders instead of forgetting WHY THEY ARE INCARCERATED.

미국 정치인들은 실제로 지금 일을 해야 할 필요가 있어요. 재활시설을 좀 더 이용가능하게 만들어 죄수들도 이용할 수 있게 해요. 마약으로 수감된 사람들이 진작에 왜 감옥에 왔는지 잊어버리지 말고요.
