허쉬초콜렛에 중금속이?!

29일 한 미국 매체에 따르면 뉴욕주에 사는 사람이 허쉬초콜릿 (다크초콜릿) 회사를 상대로 초콜릿에 납과 카드뮴 등 중금속을 함유하고 있다고 500만달러(약 63억원) 상당의 손해 배상 소송을 제출했다고 합니다. 초콜릿에서 납과 카드뮴이 검출되는 것은 초콜릿의 원료인 카카오의 재배과정 상 어쩔 수 없다는 의견도 있습니다. 중금속은 대기와 토양의 오염으로 인해서이기 때문입니다.
