미국국회의원 틱톡사용금지

미 하원이 소속의원 및 보좌진을 비롯한 직원들에게 중국의 동영상 공유 플랫폼 '틱톡' 사용 금지를 공식적으로 통보했습니다. 27일 미 언론에 따르면 "하원 소속의 어떤 모바일 기기에서도 틱톡 다운로드가 금지된다. 틱톡 앱 설치되어있다면 삭제 요청을 받게 될 것"이라고 밝혔습니다. 중국 정보통신 재벌 바이트댄스 소유인 틱톡은 전세계적으로 가장 인기있는 동영상 공유 플랫폼 가운데 하나이지만 미국에서는 틱톡이 그간 수집한 사용자 정보가 중국 정부에 유출될 수 있다는 우려를 지속적으로 제기해왔습니다. 현재 틱톡의 전세계 월간활성사용자수는 10억명이 넘는다고 하며 미국 내에서만 약 1억명 이상이라고 합니다.

I work in the tech world and can appreciate tiktok being banned. It is absolutely worthless, not just for kids but adults as well. Social media as a whole is a waste of time but tiktok is on a different level. Hopefully Congress can get this ban passed.

I would honestly be terrified to be a parent nowadays seeing how dangerous the internet is in current year. It's basically over for your child the moment they join Twitter, Tik Tok, or Discord.
