(미국) 휠체어탄 할아버지가 곰에 끌려가는 손자 구해내 

몇일 전 16일, 미국 코네티컷주에 사는 제임스씨는 자신의 집 뒷마당에서 놀던 10살 손자가 근처 숲에서 나타난 야생 흑곰에게 공격당하는 광경을 목격했습니다. 손자가 '곰이다'라고 외친 소리를 듣고 보니 곰이 손자의 다리를 물린 상태로 질질 끌려가고 있었다고 하네요. 제임스씨는 주저없이 쇠막대를 들고 곰을 향해 달려가 얼굴에 던졌고 공격받은 곰이 잠시 손자를 놓쳐지만 다시 끌고 가려고했는데 비명을 듣고 달려온 이웃들이 파이프를 들고 달려와 가까스로 곰을 쫒아냈습니다. 

가까이에 쇠막대라도 있어 정말 다행이였던 것 같습니다.

That's why there is National Parks for all those lovely animals ????. They should just all stay there, not come to where all the growing population are planting their new houses, for their growing families.

Animals habitat is being invaded & that’s how they react. If ppl live in bear country , this behavior has to be expected. So sad. Hope the little guy is going to be ok. No life-threatening injuries… Wow, he got lucky !

동물들의 서식지가 침범받고 있고 그래서 그들이 이렇게 하는거죠. 사람들이 곰의 영역에 살고 있다면 이런 일은 발생하게 됩니다. 애석한 일입니다. 작은 소년이 어서 괜찮아졌으면 좋겠네요. 목숨을 위협할 만한 상처는 아니여서 다행이네요.

Sad...wild animals have lost so much of their habitat and have so much more exposure to humans and our food. I don't blame the bear but I also don't blame them for shooting it...if it attacked once it would do it again.

야생동물들이 자신들의 서식지를 너무 많이 잃었어요. 그래서 자꾸 인간에게 노출되네요. 곰을 탓하고 싶지 않지만 또 곰을 총살한 사람들을 탓하고 싶지도 않네요. 일단 공격하면 또 공격하러 올테니까요.

그 소년이 운이 좋았던 것 같아요. 어서 회복하길 바랍니다. 

사람들이 야생동물들에게 먹이를 주는 걸 멈춰야 해요. 쓰레기를 땅에 버리는 것도 멈춰야 하고요. 그래서 자꾸 곰이나 코요테가 공격적으로 행동하는 겁니다.

We live in central Florida and there are bears here.....there is a road sign on highway showing a bear... ..one climbed a fence around our residential park and a mother & 2 Cubs came on property of another home owner....he shot the mother and is now in court. Very controversial...

우린 플로리다 중보에 사는데 여긴 곰들이 종종 보이죠. 

고속도로에선 곰을 조심하라고 표지판도 있어요. 어떤 한마리가 우리 집과 이웃집 울타리를 넘어왔는데 보니 어미곰과 두마리의 새끼곰이였어요. 그런데 이웃이 어미곰을 총으로 쏘아버렸고 지금 재판받고 있어요. 참 역설적이죠..

Deforestation leads to situations like this. I'm so glad that child is okay and not harmed other than a few scars and a really good story, but these "attacks" will continue to happen as long as human homes encroach on the forests.
