(미국) 미 해군 잠수함 부엌에서 나오는 음식 

미 해군에서 튀김기를 가지고 있는 함정은 잠수함이라고 하네요. 

일반적인 군함에서 에어프라이, 오븐 같은 걸로 냉동튀김 데워주는 건 가능하지만 튀김기를 사용해서 바로 튀겨주는 요리는 일반 군함은 어렵거든요. 파도가 잔잔해도 배가 움직이면 기울어져서 끓는 기름 넘치면 안되잖아요. 그런데 잠수함은 잠수하고 나면 출렁거리는 것이 아예 없어 가능하다 합니다. 특히 미군 핵잠수함은 조용하게 대기하는 것이 대부분이라 합법적으로 튀김기를 설치해놓았다고 합니다.

Air Force life is so much better! Plenty of fresh air and sunshine when there's no clouds! Submarine you're stuck in a tube for 9 months and nowhere to go!

공군생활이 훨씬 더 나아요! 구름없을땐 신선한 공기와 햇빛을 보죠. 잠수함에선 9개월동안 거기에 갇혀서 어디 가지고 못하잖아요!

I served in the USAF, and I remember that when we were working 12's on the flight line in the freezing rain that there was nothing we appreciated more than being able to go have a hot meal prepared for us. God bless the cooks.

미국 공군에 근무했었는데 춥고 비오는 날에도 12시간을 비행대기선에서 일했어요. 그땐 따뜻한 음식을 먹을 수 있는 것 보다 더 감사한 것이 없었어요. 신이 부엌에 축복을 내려주시길

God bless the cooks!   I worked the flightline in Japan and the Philippines for 5 years, The food I ate at the Chow halls there was was better than most restaurants..

정말 부엌에는 축복을 내려줘야 해요. 일본과 필리핀에서 5년간 항공선에서 일했어요.  거기 식당에서 먹은 음식이 그 어떤 식당에서 먹었던 것보다 훨씬 더 나았어요.

Seeing all that delicious food being prepared, and it truly does look delicious, makes me want to join the Navy again, but alas, I'm almost 80 years old now and would not be of much use! This is amazing!

저렇게 맛있는 음식들을 보니 정말 다시 해군에 합류하고 싶어지네요. 하지만 난 이제 거의 80살이 다 되었고 별로 쓰임이 못되겠지요. 정말 맛난 음식이에요!

Being a cook is the most under appreciate job on a ship, great meal are rarely complemented, a bad meal is talked about for days.

요리사는 배에서 가장 인정을 덜 받는 일이에요. 훌륭한 음식은 거의 칭찬받지 못하고 맛없는 요리는 계속 입에 오르내리죠.

That video reminds me of my days back in the Navy.  I don't think many know the hardships of being in the Navy back in the 1970s and 1980s.   You're a long way from home and no way to really communicate except by mail.  I don't miss those days

I was a guest aboard a USCG Cutter not long ago.  Several of the crew were former Navy.  When I asked why the changed over to the Coast Guard they all said the food was better.  I must say what I had to eat there was really good.

근래에 미국 해안경비대절단기에 게스트로 간 적 있어요. 몇몇 선원들은 전직 해군이였고요. 왜 직업을 바꾸었냐고 물어보니 모두 음식때문이라고 하더군요. 정말 내가 거기서 먹은 음식은 진짜 맛있었어요.
