신정원 기자 = 유럽 대신 아시아 등지로 에너지 공급처를 다변화하고 있는 블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령이 7일(현지시간) 중국, 몽골, 미얀마 지도자들과 만나 경제 협력 방안을 논의했다. 푸틴 대통령은 러시아를 고립시키려는 서방의 시도는 실패할 것이며, 미래는 아시아에 있다고 강조했다.

푸틴 대통령은 이날 러시아 블라디보스토크에서 열린 동방경제포럼(EEF)에 초청된 아시아 지도자들과 양자 회담을 갖고 에너지 공급 등 경제 협력 방안을 논의했다.

푸틴 대통령은 이날 37분에 걸친 동방경제포럼 본회의 연설에서 "러시아를 고립시키려는 서방의 노력은 실패할 것"이라며 "미래는 아시아에 있다"고 강조했다.

글로벌타임스에 따르면 이번 포럼에선 총 1조5300억 루블(약 34조7100억원)에 달하는 150건 이상의 거래가 체결됐다. 중국은 포럼 참석자 총 205명 중 가장 많은 대표단을 파견했다.
