CNN은 "부글부글 끓는 국수, 납작한 빵, 디저트 등 아시아의 길거리 음식은 다양성과 풍미가 뛰어나다"면서 "이 광대한 지역은 적도의 열대 지방과 산맥, 화산섬, 거대한 도시 등 다양한 모습을 품고 있다"고 아시아 길거리 음식을 평가했다.

한국을 대표하는 길거리 음식으로 꼽은 김밥과 떡볶이에 대해서는 "김밥은 마치 휴대를 위해 만들어진 것 같다"면서 "일본의 마키즈시와 달리 김밥은 한입 크기로 잘려 있고, 만드는 사람에 따라 다양한 재료로 속을 채울 수 있다"고 설명했다.

CNN이 아시아 최고의 길거리 음식 50가지를 선정했는데 우리나라 음식으론 김밥과 떡볶이가 이름을 올렸네요. 

베트남 길거리 음식들이 아시아 최고 길거리 음식 리스트에 3개나 올랐습니다. 

베트남 사람들 디게 좋아하겠어요.

Mouth watering. Memory of Thailand when a guy would pass by the bars with a full spit roasted pig, you'd buy pieces & a spicy dipping sauce, delish.

침고이네요. 태국의 기억은 어떤 사람이 속이 가득찬 돼지고기 요리로 바를 지나가면 그 자리에서 몇조각 사먹을 수 있어요. 매운 소스와 함께요. 정말 맛있어요.

I spent four glorious years in Korea with the US Air Force. I loved it, miss it and wish I could get back there sometime.
