I think a big part of it is the size of the market. Foldable phones are still pretty niche, Apple probably wouldn’t release one until they’re closer to mainstream, then they’ll swoop in aiming to become the mainstream solution

내 생각엔 시장의 규모를 고려해서 그런 것 같아요. 접는폰은 아직은 꽤 틈새시장에 해당되고 애플은 아마도 접는폰이 주류시장에 근접할때까지 내놓지 않을 거에요. 때가 되면 애플은 주류시장 솔루션이 될 목표로 시장을 기습하겠죠.

I doubt that; the first iPhone came out when mobile phones were still niche and the top tier product was the good old monochrome Nokia, or the professional-oriented blackberry.

When apple does the flip phone it will be like AirPods when at first people thought they were weird but now everywhere I go  I see a pair of AirPods and soon after the release everyone will start getting it

애플이 플립폰 만들면 그건 마치 에어팟 같을 거에요. 처음에 에어팟 나왔을때 사람들은 이상하다고 생각했지만 지금은 어디서든 볼 수 있잖아요.

Samsung is more innovative than Apple. Apple tends to copy Samsung features for the last 5 years. So to me, Samsung way better than Apple at the moment.

Apple hasn't "invented" foldable phones yet.

It's simple. Apple is waiting for other companies to do the heavy lifting in improving foldable devices: minimize/eliminate screen creases; stronger hinges, better water and dust resistance, improve batter life while minimizing thickness. Once they are improved enough, Apple will buy/copy from others and put together their own version then claim to have had been working on it for two decades.

간단해요. 애플은 다른 회사들이 접는폰을 향상 시키는 걸 기다리고 있는 거에요. 가령 스크린 구김을 없애고 더 강한 경첩을 만들어내고 물과 먼지에 강해지고 두깨를 줄이며 배터리사용량도 늘리는 등을 의미하죠. 

충분히 향상되면 애플은 그 회사들한테 사거나 카피해서 모두 조합하여 자기네 버전으로 만들겠죠. 이건 약 20년동안 애플이 해온 일이랍니다.

It's very surprising to see apple so lazy in smartphone department, on the other hand in the laptop section they are producing some amazing chips and made great laptops and Macs but unfortunately they just refused to be innovative in iPhone section, fortunately they have no rival in iOS world , that's also helps them to be this lazy.

애플이 스마트폰 시장에선 너무나 게으르다는 게 정말 놀라워요. 반면 랩탑 시장에선 놀라운 칩을 생산해내고 있고 훌륭한 랩탑과 Macs를 만들어냈죠. 하지만 불행히도 아이폰 시장에선 혁신적이지 못해요. 다행히 IOS세계에선 경쟁자가 없어서 이렇게 게으른가봅니다.

Samsung sells it's components to other companies, especially like OLED screens it builds for Apple.

Samsung also sells screens for other folding phone manufacturers.

삼성은 다른 회사들에게 부품들도 팔고 있어요. 특히 애플한테 OLED스크린 같은 걸 팔고 있죠. 또 다른 폴더블폰 제조사에도 스크린을 팔고 있어요.

The funny thing is the fact that those who never owned any foldable phone are those who know all issues about the foldable phones. Its insane!!!!!!!!

I have a Samsung Zflip 3. It’s a great phone tbh. I’ve had it since launch and about to get my Flip 4. ???? I haven’t had any issues whatsoever.

난 Zflip3폰 쓰는데 솔직히 정말 좋다. 런칭 되자마자 샀고 이제 flip4사려고 한다. 이제까지 한번도 문제가 없었다.
