변하지 않는 슬픈 상황입니다. 이 그래프를 보며 저~~~ 끝에서 몇번째나 있을까나 생각해보았네요.

Inequality is inevitable, people are different, they provide different skills to society, and they have different life goals. A world of perfect economic equality isn't just a pipe dream, it's downright dystopic.

Extreme inequality however is shameful and downright inhumane. 

I think most people can agree that we should strive to live in a country(and a world) where everyone can at least have their basic needs met.

불평등은 피할 수 없습니다. 사람들은 모두 다 다르고요. 사람들은 사회에 서로 다른 기술을 제공하고 다른 삶의 목표를 가지고 있어요. 완벽한 경제적인 평등은 그냥 몽상은 아니고 완전한 디스토피아(암흑세계)입니다. 

하지만 또 지나친 불평등은 부끄럽고 완전히 비인간적인 것이죠. 

모두가 적어도 기본적인 생필품을 가질 수 있는 나라에서 살아야 한다는 것에는 대부분 동의할 것입니다.

For all the talk about inequality, I think it would be better to ask what equal would look like. The question is merely how much of one we want.

그래서 이렇게 측정된 부의 자료가 참 바보같은 미터법이다. 빚이 없는 나이지리아 농부 보단 빚을 갚고 있는 미국 의사가 되는 편이 낫다. 이 통계에 따르면 후자(농부)가 명백히 더 나아보이지만 말이다.

This is net wealth, not gross income. While people in the west have very high incomes, many people in the west have zero or even negative net worth.

이건 순자산이지 총 수입에 대한 것이 아닙니다. 서방국가 사람들이 높은 수입을 가지고 있는 반면 서방의 많은 사람들이 아무 자산이 없거나 혹은 심지어 마이너스 자산을 가지고 있기도 합니다.

I really hate the concept of "if there were 10 people on earth" or "...100 people on earth" if people can't understand what a percentage is I don't think they're going to get anything out of the data presented

난 정말 "지구상에 10명만 있다면" 혹은 "지구상 100명만" 이런 개념이 싫다. 

사람들이 퍼센티지에 대해 이해를 못한다면 데이터에서 아무것도 얻지 못할 거다.

Most people commenting here are actually the guy on top. Even poor people in wealthy nations are super rich comparatively. If wealth distribution occurred globally, you'd all be paying most of what you have to others.
