Cleaning rooms one summer, entered checkout guests bathroom and noticed rolled up towels on the floor, pretty common. I start picking them up, hidden underneath, pile of human shit. I open the shower curtain as I begin to smell an over powering stench of shit, I find at least 10 dumps in the shower, mixed with piss. The toilet, clean as fuck. Doesn’t looked like it was even used. I quit that day.

한 여름에 방 청소를 하고 있었고 이미 체크아웃한 손님방 화장실에 들어갔는데 바닥에 널려있는 수건이 보였고 이건 흔한일이죠. 그런데 그 수건들 밑에 똥이 쌓여있었어요. 냄새가 지독해졌고 샤워 커튼을 열어봤는데 적어도 10개 똥덩어리랑 오줌이 섞여 샤워실 바닥에 퍼져있었어요. 웃긴건 변기는 깨끗했고 사용한 적도 없어보였고요. 그 날로 관뒀어요.

My parents owned a hotel that we would work at. Some guys from camp pendleton stayed one night and one of them shit all over the carpet. I couldn't ask any of the housekeepers to clean it, it's fuckin foul. I had too and it's still burned into my memory 20 years later. 

우리 부모님이 호텔 하나를 가지고 있고 우린 거기서 일했어요. 팬들턴 캠프장에서 온 사람들이 하룻밤 머물고 갔는데 카펫에 똥을 싸놓았어요. 청소부한테 그걸 청소해달라고 할 수도 없었고 정말 끔찍했어요. 결국 내가 했어야했는데 20년이 지난 지금까지도 머리속에 남아있어요.

Some guest was in the parking lot, waving a gun around & threatening to shoot up the place, resulting in a tense stand-off with cops for about an hour before they finally took him down (alive). 

호텔 주차장에서 어떤 손님이 총을 휘두르며 협박해서 경찰과 긴장 상태로 대치했어요. 결국 그를 생포하긴 했어요.

I used to work at a hotel. I post on these guests often and I always intend on doing so. Three guests come to mind:

Guests wiped in the towels, smeared it on the walls, and laughed at housekeeping when they came in for service

Young lady (who was certainly no lady) stuck her used tampon on the bathroom wall, the blood acted as a glue and cemented itself there. It had to be pried off

Guests left three week old expired milk in the fridge. But they were only in house for three days so that means it was already two and a half weeks expired when they checked in. Who lugs around rotten milk?

예전에 호텔에서 일했는데 자주 이런 종류의 손님들에 대해 글을 올렸고 아직까지도 세사람이 기억에 남네요. 

1. 손님이 수건으로 닦고 벽에다가 묻혔는데 청소부가 들어오자 그걸 보고 웃더라고요. 

2. 어떤 젊은 여성이 (정상적인 여성을오 보이진 않았지만) 사용한 탐폰을 욕실벽에다 붙여놓았어요. 피가 풀처럼 작용되어 벽에 붙었고 그걸 없앤다고 돈이 들었죠. 

3. 냉장고에 3주가 지난 우유를 두고 떠났는데 그들은 3일만 머물다가 간 사람들이였거든요. 그말은 그들이 체크인했을때 이미 그 우유는 2주반이나 지난 거였고요. 누가 그렇게 썩은 우유를 들고 다닌답니까

My first job was houseman at a hotel. I was 14 and had the job of basic maintenance and that guy that would come plunge your toilet. I had to clean up poop and condoms. The worst were hockey teams.

내 첫 일은 호텔 관리인으로써 일하는 것이였는데 그때 제가 14살이고 기본적인 건물 유지보수와 변기를 뚫는 일을 했어요. 그땐 저는 대변과 콘돔을 청소해야 했습니다. 그중에서도 하키팀이 가장 최악이었습니다.

Guest checked in, went to his room and proceeded to suffocate himself. He was wanted for certain unpleasant things and I guess it was the only way out in his mind.

한 손님이 체크인했고 방으로 들어갔는데 자살했어요. 그는 어떤 몇가지 불미스러운 일들로 지명수배된 사람이였고 자살이 그의 마음속에 유일한 탈출구였나봐요.

My friend used to work at a hotel and he said one day a famous artist was there with a guy and when they left, the room had shit all over it: the walls, the bed, everything had shit marks on >.<

제 친구가 호텔에서 일했는데 어느 날 말해주길 유명한 아티스트가 어떤 남자랑 왔는데 그들이 방을 쓰고 나간 뒤 방이 완전 똥으로 뒤덮여있었다고;;;; 벽이랑 침대 모든 곳에 똥이 묻어있었대요.

My buddy works at a hotel and shared this crazy story: a guest requested a room full of balloons for a surprise party. The staff spent all night blowing up balloons, only for the guest to check out without even seeing the room! 

친구가 호텔에서 일했는데 미친에피소드를 들려줬어요. 어떤 손님이 방에 써프라이즈 파티한다고 풍선가득한 방을 요청했고 호텔직원은 밤새 풍선불어놓았대요. 그런데 말이죠, 그 손님은 그 방 쳐다보지도않고 체크아웃한 거 있죠.

Worked at a hotel during summer , let s just say it wasn’t the best one . 50 rooms and only 2 people at reception. We got usually super busy , so it wasn’t easy to keep with everyone . We had a couple hiring for a week a room and they had so many luggage, me and my colleague was shocked of how many . Ended up by them stealing everything in the room , even the windows . They took out our windows . We both got fired that day ..

여름동안 호텔에서 일했는데 그닥 좋은 경험은 아니였어요. 룸은 50개였는데 리셉션에 직원 2명밖에 없었어요. 보통 너무나 바빠서 모든 사람들을 케어하기 쉽지 않았죠. 어떤 커플이 일주일간 방 하나를 예약했는데 짐이 너무 많았어요. 나와 내 동료는 그 짐들보고 깜짝 놀랐고요. 그들은 룸에 있는 모든 걸 훔쳐갔어요. 심지어 창문도 떼갔어요. 호텔 창문을 떼어갔다고요. 우린 그 날로 해고되었어요.

2 guys committing suicide 1 week apart from each other, they met at the hotel and became friends over their stay

Both left notes apologising to the staff and families about their decision and asking for understanding.

My mom was the manager and she still can't get over seeing the stretchers with the blankets when the cops came in

두명의 남자들이 1주일 차이로 자살했어요. 그 둘은 호텔에서 만나 친구가 되어버렸죠. 둘다 호텔직원과 가족에게 사과하며 이해해달라는 노트를 남겼어요. 우리엄마는 호텔메니저였는데 아직도 경찰들이 와서 들것에 시체들을 싣고 가는 모습에서 헤어나오지 못하고 있어요.

I worked for a well known familys hotel brand at an airport location. We could go from 1/4 full to sold out with 1 flight delay. If this happened late in the evening and housekeeping had left, it was up to front office to clean any dirty rooms to sell to the airlines. We weren't given time to change sheets or anything. It was strictly just make the rooms look neat. More than once people rang down complaining about finding all sorts in the bed sheets

전 공항근처에 있는 이름난 호텔에서 근무했었어요. 하루는 비행기 지연으로 룸 판매율이 4분의 1에서 매진으로 간 적이 있는데 이런 경우가 저녁에 발생하고 청소부들이 퇴근한 상황이면 프론트데스크 직원들이 항공사들에 룸을 판매하기 위해 더러운 방을 청소해야하죠. 우린 시트를 갈 거나 더 많은 일을 할 시간도 없었어요. 그저 깨끗하게 보이기만 하면 되었죠. 이런 경우가 여러번 있었는데 그럴때마다 투숙객들이 침대시트에서 참 다양한 물건?들을 발견하고 우리에게 컴플레인하죠.
