왜 한국인들은 계속 이민 가려고 할까

I would think the intense social, school, and work pressure would be one of the reasons people are leaving. Koreans love their country, but most Koreans I know here in Canada left because of the intense pressure there among other things - maybe it was too much for them. I could have never survived in the schools there because of ADHD.

I didn’t realise so many K dramas were written by women, that’s very interesting! I still find some questionable elements in them, particularly in how many of the women get yanked around by their partners like children, but maybe it’s a thrill of rich-bad-boy romance I’ve never understood haha

I think koreans are immigrating to many countries since they have now the (economic and financial) means to do so. they don’t want “their eggs in one basket’ so to speak, just sort of an “insurance”.

This statement is absolutely true! I was in South Korea about 10 years ago and I just made it back to Korea last week. It is amazing how fast South Korea has advanced in technology and its economic is booming compared to Japan. I was station in Japan over 8 years and now it’s like South Korea has Pull even with Japan in their quality of life.

정말 맞는 말이에요. 10여년전에 한국에 있었고 지난주에 다시 다녀왔는데 기술적으로 경제적으로 일본에 비해 얼마나 많이 앞서나가있는지. 8년전에 일본에 있었는데 이제 한국이 생활수준에 있어 일본도 앞선 것 같네요.

There are many more international students from Korea than Japan in Australia, US, UK etc. Japanese people just don’t value international experience as much. Unfortunately Japan is worse off as a result.

호주, 영국, 미국 등에 일본보다 한국 학생들이 훨씬 더 많아요. 일본인들은 국제경험을 그닥 중요하게 생각하지 않더라고요. 불행히도 일본은 결과적으로 궁색해졌어요.
