I lived in Korea for 15 years, and now I'm back in the US. I really miss the subways in Korea. Subways and trains are so inexpensive and affordable, but despite it's affordability, it is still one of the best in the world. I really wish American cities can have subways that are like the Korean subways.

When my daughter was six, I had to go to Korea for a business trip and I took her with me. After my meetings, I took her to Everland. It was wonderful. In addition to the rides, they have a beautiful and peaceful botanical garden with acres of flowers.

I've lived in Korea and older people really AREN'T friendlier, especially if they are male. It's true that they have CCTVs around the garabage disposal areas but they really DON'T care about the environment. 

저도 한국에서 살아봤는데 나이든 사람들은 별로 친절하지 않아요, 특히 남자 노인들이요. 쓰레기처리하는 곳 주변에 감시카메라는 정말 다 있는데 사람들은 사실 딱히 환경에 관심가지고 있지 않아요.

Yes and no. Yes, there are some impressive structures and new green spaces in Seoul and other major metro areas. Remember, however, that Seoul was re-built from the ground up after the Korean War. You will also find MODERN architecture in other ‘newer’ cities globally. 

Golf culture: A good 70% of the country is mountainous, so land for country clubs is at a premium. Golfing means status, and Korea has a VERY status-oriented culture. 

현대건축물에 관해선 맞기도 하고 틀리기도하네요. 서울엔 인상깊은 구조물과 녹지가 있고 다른 대도시에도 있어요. 하지만 서울은 한국전쟁이후 재건된 곳이에요. 그러니 세계 다른 새로운 도시들에서도 멋진 현대건축물들을 볼 수 있어요. 

한국의 70%가 산림이에요. 그래서 골프장을 위한 땅은 아주 프리미엄이죠. 사실 골프는 한국에서 아직 계급을 의미하고 한국은 굉장히 계급을 따지는 문화에요.

NYC is way way more developed than Seoul can ever dream chill your ass I’ve lived in Seoul 6 years and it was kinda of a joke compared to NYC, LA, Chicago and so many.

뉴욕이 서울보다 훨씬 발달된 도시이죠. 서울에서 6년 살았었는데 뉴욕, 엘에이, 시카고랑 비교하는 건 좀 그러네요.
