잔인한 카타르 월드컵.. 

약 3달 뒤면 처음으로 중동에서 열리는 카타르 월드컵이 개막하죠. 그런데 현지 카타르에선 부당한 대우에 참다못한 건설 노동자들이 거리로 나와 시위를 한 일이 있습니다. 

인구 300만명이 안되는 이 나라에선 이번 월드컵을 위해 동남아시아와 아프리카 등에서 노동자들을 데려와 고용했는데 수년동안 이들에 대한 부당한 처우가 계속 논란이 되어 왔습니다. 

섭씨 40도를 웃도는 더위 속에서 제대로 휴식을 취하지도 못하게 한 채 임금조차도 제때 주지 않았다고 하는군요. 

참다못한 노동자들이 최근 거리에 나와 시위를 햇는데 이들에게 돌아온건 밀린 임금 대신 본국으로의 추방이였습니다.. 

역대 가장 논란이 많은 월드컵이 될 거란 우려가 커지고 있습니다.

왜 처음부터 FIFA는 카타르에 월드컵 개최하게 했는지 모르겠다. 카타르의 문화 신념때문에 월드컵이 지루해지지 않았으면 좋겠다.

Strange. Why should they be deported for asking for their rights? Protest is their right and it was a peaceful protest too. How would people from the world visit the country which doesn't respect labour rights and instead deport them when they ask for their wages.

이상하다. 권리를 요구하는데 왜 추방되어야 하지? 시위는 그들의 권리이고 평화로운 시위이기도 했다. 어떻게 세계 사람들이 노동법을 존중하지 않고 그저 임금을 받겠다고 요구하는 노동자들을 추방해버리는 나라를 방문할 수 있겠는가?

This is common in arab countries that they dont pay laborers or compensate then well and if you protest you will be put  in prison then deported after serving time.

노동자들에게 급여 잘 안주는 건 아랍국가들에 흔한일이다. 이에 대해 항의하면 감옥 보내버리고 감옥에서 나오면 추방된다.
