(자메이카) 음악인들 불평불만하는 범죄미화 콘텐츠방송 금지법

1960년대 레게음악이 시작된 곳이죠. 카리브해 섬나라 자메이카에서 마약, 폭력등의 범죄를 조장할 수도 있는 음악 방송을 금지하기로 했습니다. 욕설이 섞인 단어도 텔레비전이나 라디오에서 내보낼 수 없도록 했고요. 이에 대해 일부 음악인들은 표현의 자유를 침해받고 실효성도 떨어진다고 당국을 비판했습니다. 

댓글에 자주 나오는 댄스홀 음악은 1970년대 후반에 발전된 자메이카 대중음악의 한 종류로 그 뿌리는 레게와 R&B에 있습니다.

I'm not at all Jamaican, but a big fan of dancehall and JA music and gun/crime songs have been there since 90's. To an outsider, this curbs how much we'll listen to your jams. Worse, it won't work out I guess

전 완전 자메이카 사람은 아닙니다만 자메이카 댄스홀 음악의 팬이고 90년대부터 총기나 범죄를 의미하는 음악은 있어왔어요. 이런 음악적인 제한은 더 나빠요. 효과도 없을 겁니다.

The real problem is education and  upbringing as well as the government being soft on crime...if one has a good moral compass one can and will usually discern whats right or wrong

진짜 문제는 교육이고 정부가 범죄에 느슨하게 대처하는 것도 문제죠. 괜찮은 도덕적인 범위를 가지고 있다면 무엇이 옳고 그른지 분별합니다.

My initial though was that I liked this law.  On further thought, it might be misdirected and doomed to failure. Also tramples on free speech

처음 생각엔 이 법안이 좋았어요. 그런데 다시 생각해보니 엉뚱한 방향으로 가거나 실패할 지도 모른다는 생각이 드네요. 표현의 자유를 짓밟겠다는 생각도 들었습니다.

Adults can promote and encourage a better society for Jamaica by not supporting these artists.

Do not listen to the music on social media.

부모들은 자신의 아이들이 어떤 음악을 듣는 지 검열해야 해요. 

성인들은 그런 종류의 음악을 하는 아티스트들을 응원하지 않음으로서 자메이카를 더 나은 사회로 만들어갈 수 있어요.

Long overdue...They should also ban explicit sexual and pornographic content in music also...It is important for Jamaican musicians to be able to write music with better lyrics..
