카피바라 라는 거대 설치류에 대해 들어보셨나요 

우리나라엔 없지만 남미땅에 개체수가 급증하고 있는 동물입니다. 

사람을 공격하진 않지만 교통사고를 유발하고 반려견을 공격해서 사람들이 그리 좋아하지 않는 동물이죠. 

주로 습지를 좋아하는데, 과도한 개발로 습지가 파괴되고 사람이 사는 곳에 이제 흔하게 출몰하여 사람들과 부딪히고 있네요. 

귀엽다고 하는 사람들도 있지만 저는 집을 나섰는데 이 카피바라와 마주친다면 기절할 것 같습니다. 중남미에선 까르삔초(Carpincho)라고 부르네요.

Soy de Buenos Aires, y la mayoría amamos a los carpinchos, el problema no son los animales si no que se construyó en su territorio el barrio de NorDelta . Pero en realidad los amamos y son muy simpáticos

전 부에노스아이레스 사람인데 대부분 카피바라 좋아해요. 문제는 이 동물이 아니라 이 지역에서 그들의 영역을 제대로 만들어주지 않아 그런거죠. 하지만 사실 카피바라를 좋아하여 성격도 온순해요.

전 아르헨티나 살진 않지만 카피바라 너무 좋아해요. 정말 예쁘고 귀엽고 온순해요. 카피바라를 보기 위해 아르헨티나 저 지역으로 가보기도 하죠.

카피바라가 저렇게 커질 수 있는 지 몰랐어요. 설치류치고 크다고 생각했지만 크기가 완전 프렌치불독 싸이즈네요.

카피바라는 정말 온순한 동물이에요. 공격당할때는 새끼를 보호해야 하거나 감금될때를 제외하곤 주로 도망가요.
