(해외반응) 일본, 숨겨진 섬 7천개나 발견 

일본 매체들에 따르면 존재하는 지 몰랐던 섬을 7천개나 더 발견했다고 하네요. 

진정한 섬나라 인가요. 

2014년에 위성사진을 활용한 지도가 제작되면서 새로 발견되는 섬의 개수가 급증하더니 최근 7천개까지나 급증했다고 합니다.

If any unique animals exist on any of those islands I'm sure we'll hear a new Pokémon based off them in the future.

발견된 곳에서 어떤 특별한 동물이 존재한다면 미래에 그곳을 기반으로한 새로운 포켓몬임이 틀림없다.

No, they are not inhabited. Nothing new has really been discovered, they have just been counted and categorised correctly.

거기 생명이 사는 곳은 아니래요. 아무것도 사실 발견된 것이 없어요. 그저 섬의 개수로만 카운팅 된 것이고 분류된거죠.

It also depends on the tidal level. A lot of island won’t be visible during high tide.

Not that surprising. The islands (only in the strictest definition) are trivial to the general public.

These islands weren't actually "discovered". They were known to exist. They just weren't ever properly counted

이 섬들은 사실 "발견된"건 아니였어요. 존재하는 지 이제서야 안거죠. 제대로 카운팅 된 것도 아니고요.

If anyone's wondering, some islands are difficult to define from satellite imagery if they are in shallow areas, like swamps, so ground proofing is important.

어떤 섬들은 늪지 같은 얕은 곳에 있으면 위성이미지로도 보기 어려워요. 그래서 육지에서 직접 확인하는 것이 중요하죠.
