31살 세계최고령 개, 견주가 밝히는 장수비결

1992년 태어난 세계 최고령개는 포르투갈 지방의 한 시골마을에 사는 보비라는 개로 품종은 알렌테조 마스티프라고 합니다. 알렌티조 마스티프는 포르투갈의 전통 목축견이라고 하며 이 종의 평균수명은 12년~14년의 기대수명을 가지고 있다고 해요. 

견주 레오넬 코스타씨는 13일 토요일에 보비의 31번째 생일 맞아 큰 파티까지 열어줄 예정이라고 합니다. 견주가 밝히는 보비의 장수비결은 조용하고 평화로운 환경으로 보비는 평생 묶여본 적 없이 숲을 자유롭게 돌아다녔고 다른 여러 종류의 동물들에게도 둘러싸여 외롭지 않게 사교적인 개로 자란 점을 꼽았습니다. 

보비의 생년월일은 1992년으로 세상에서 가장 나이 많은 개로 기네스북에 등재되었습니다.

he doesn’t look old at all. most dogs start getting gray/white fur around their face as they get older. hope he continues to live a long life.

전혀 늙은 개처럼 안보여요. 대부분 개들은 나이들면 얼굴 주변에 회색이나 흰색 털이 자라기 시작하거든요. 계속해서 장수하길 바래요.

This makes me so happy!! He doesn't even look his age, he isn't blind or deaf nor has he lost mobility or any of his faculties! Plus he doesn't seem to be  incontinent or  to have any other health problems associated with old age!! How absolutely wonderful and marvellous!

기쁜 뉴스네요. 정말 그 나이처럼 안보여요. 눈이 멀거나 귀가 멀지도 않았고 모두 멀쩡해보이네요. 게다가 요실금도 없어보이고. 그 어떤 노견이 가지고 있는 질병이 전혀없어보이네요. 정말 놀라운일이에요.

Get that dog’s genes, clone him after death to breed him with the clones of other long lived dogs and you can make a breed of dog that lives that long

보비의 유전자로 보비의 사후에도 복제해서 다른 장수할 수 있는 반려견을 만들어요. 그럼 그런 장수품종견을 만들 수 있잖아요.

I don't know why everyone is calling him healthy, he's very obese.

Still very impressive of course. I'm not fat shaming, just wondering if it's better to let dogs get fat.

왜 모두들 보비보고 건강해보인다고 하는 지 모르겠어요. 사실 비만견이에요. 물론 아주 인상깊긴 하지만 뚱뚱하다고 핀잔주는 건 아니고요. 그저 반려견들을 살찌게 내버려두는 것도 괜찮다고요

Very skeptical that this doggo is 30 years old. Easily switch the dog with a similar looking dog, and bring it to another vet who wont recognize the small differences. Guinness is being scammed.

드는 회의적인 생각은 30살 개를 똑같아보이는 다른 개와 바꿔치기 한 다음에 다른 수의사한테 데려가서 기네스에 등재하는 거죠. 기네스는 사기거든요.
