(영국) 신생아 7명이나 죽인 병원 간호사 

영국 BBC에서 몇일 전 10일 

영국의 한 병원에서 근무하던 간호사가 신생아 7명을 살해한 혐의로 재팜에 넘겨졌네요. 루시 렛비라고 하는 이 간호사는 신생아 혈류에 공기를 주입하거나 인슐린을 투여하는 방식으로 죽음에 이르게 했다고 합니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 모든 혐의를 부인하고 있다고 하는데 도대체 왜 그랬는지 모르겠습니다. 

인상은 참 선해보이는데 사람 얼굴만 가지고 절대 판단해서는 안되겠군요.

I can’t believe this trial has finally started , I remember when Lucy letby was first arrested in 2018 and I did wonder if this would ever make it to court as it’s seems to have taken a lifetime. Let’s hope justice is served. 

재판이 이제야 시작되었다니 믿을 수가 없네요. 이 루시렛비 간호사는 2018년에 처음 체포되었고 재판에 넘겨져 평생감옥에서 썩을 줄 알았어요. 정의가 실현되길 바랍니다.

What punishment could possibly make up for the horror she has inflicted on multiple families, if she is found guilty of course. How could justice be delivered? Time in jail isn't enough for a monster that would destroy the lives of the babies and their families.

It’s unlikely we’ll ever know, as she’s pleaded not guilty so I guess that’s what she’s sticking to. Unlikely to be a prison confession. 

I don’t really know what a motive could be, other than some bizarre hatred/jealousy, or just a twisted mind of incomprehensible proportions.

Maybe something will emerge during the trial of something she’s said, searched for, etc that sheds some light on her mindset.

(윗댓글에) 우리가 절대 알 수 없겠죠. 처음엔 무죄를 주장했으니 그거에 집착했을 겁니다. 범행동기가 무엇인지 알 수는 없으나 어떤 기괴한 증오나 질투심 혹은 이해할 수 없는 꼬인 마음에서 비롯된 것 같습니다. 아마도 재판동안 무언가가 나오겠죠. 그러면 그녀의 사고방식에서 어떤 걸 끌어낼 지도 몰라요.
