어째서 미국다음으로 강하다는 러시아는 우크라이나 전쟁에서 공중우세권을 장악하지 못했을까요?  

일단 조종사들의 경험이 확실히 부족했고 항공기 정비, 물자보급 등이 서방국가들에 비해 부족했고 항공기로부터 투하되는 흔한 폭탄들도 별로 없다고 하네요. 

우리 공군도 정밀유도무기확보와 조종사들의 훈련, 정비에 신경쓰고 투자를 해야 할 것 같다는 시사점입니다.

I personally attended the Dubai Airshow in the late 90's.  During the 5 days of display flying the F-16, flown by a General Dynamics test pilot, amazed crowds.  The plane seemed to defy gravity and actually pulled up into a near hover and accelerated vertically.

90년대 후반 두바이 에어쇼에 참가한 바 있다. 5일동안 시험비행조종사가 운항하는 F16의 공연을 보았는데 관중을 놀라게 했었다. 전투기는 중력에 저항하는듯 했고 실제 착륙하는 것 처럼 맴돌다 수직으로 속도를 냈었다.

I don't understand the Russian reluctance to improve on their technology. They do in some areas, and abandon others.

We just really need to get more aircraft and ground based defences into Ukraine from friendly countries to replace their destroyed infrastructure.

Russia has always enjoyed over match with air defence systems compared to NATO. Most NATO countries only use man portable or low level systems that are best engaged with helicopters and unguided rockets or cluster bombs.

It's said, that the problems the ground units of the Russian Military such as bad tires, poor maintenance, and overall lack of supplies...Extends to the air force.  Also communications between the ground and air assets, and the experience that kind of training is almost non-existent.

러시아 지상군대의 문제점은 질나쁜 타이어, 형편없는 유지보수 전반적인 물자 부족이다. 공군도 마찬가지다. 또한 지상과 공해상의 의사소통이 잘 되지 않고 훈련경험이 매우 부족하다.

I think the biggest deterrent is the fact that the Western countries supporting Ukraine have supplied have supplied a huge amount of anti aircraft missiles and the capability of those are extremely high for how little training and how few people they require to operate.

가장 큰 전쟁억지력은 우크라이나를 지지하는 서방국가들이 많은 양의 방공 미사일을 우크라이나에 제공했고 그 능력이 아주 높아서 훈련이 아무리 적어도 또, 사람이 적어도 운용할만 했다는 것이다.

You forgot to mention one thing, when the US was carrying our Wild Weasel sorties it was mainly against old Soviet era systems. Ukraine uses more modern Soviet/Russian systems that can shoot down missiles. So just launching some anti radiation missiles at an anti air system these days won't really be the answer, unless you get lucky.

한가지 언급하는 걸 잊었네요. 미국이 와일드 위즐 (레이더 탐지기와 통신 전파방해 장치를 갖춘 각종 미군기의 별명)을 가져갔을때 그건 주로 과거 소비에트 시절 시스템에 대항하기 위함이였어요. 우크라이나는 현재 현대화된 소련/러시아 시스템을 이용하여 그것은 미사일을 격추시킬 수 있어요. 그러니 방공 대전파미사일을 쏘는 것만으로 요즘엔 답이 안되어요.

Its hard to comprehend that a power on the scale of the Russian Federation would field an air force with those limited capabilities, especially when you consider they might have to face pilots with not only superior skills, but numbers as well.  its strange and very curious.  Surely they took these things into consideration because they have to know all of this, yes?
