옌진현, 세상에서 가장 특이한 곳

한 쿼라(QUORA)유저가 올린 게시글인데 작성자는 중국 옌진현이 가장 특이한 방문지였다고 합니다. 옌진현은 세계에서 가장 좁은 계곡도시로 알려져있는데 해발 1,000m를 넘는 산들 사이의 계곡을 따라 흐르는 강변에 세워진 건물들의 모습이 비현실적으로 보이기까지 합니다. 

건물들은 이미 노후화가 되었지만 확장이나 재개발은 불가능한 지역이라고하네요. 언젠가 주민들은 이주할 수 밖에 없습니다.

Honestly I can't tell whether it's beautiful or ugly, scary or nice. Seriously, it's so full of contrasts. Anyway, visiting this city must be hell of an experience. 

솔직히 저기가 아름다운지 별로인지 무서운지 말하기도 어렵네요. 이상한 것들로 가득차있어요. 어쨌든 이런 도시 방문하는 건 지독한 경험일듯하네요.

This city has been continuity inhabited for at least 3000 years. It started out as a trading post for salt thousands of years ago, and gradually got bigger.

이 도시는 적어도 3000년 동안 사람들이 거주해온 지역이에요. 수천년전에 소금무역으로 시작해서 점점 더 커졌죠.

The contrast of the beautiful landscape and then an inner city makes it surreal.

I would not want to be there during rain season worrying about landslides and an earthquake happens. But other then that looks incredible and would love to see it in person still.

비가 많이 내리는 시기엔 저곳에 가고싶지 않네요. 지진도 날 수 있고요. 하지만 그것 빼곤 멋져보이고 직접 보고싶기도하네요.

It's amazing that humans can thrive like this. I would love to walk around, eat some noodles, drink some tea, and people watch.

사람이 저런 곳에서 살아온 것이 놀라워요. 한번 가서 걸어보고 싶기도 하네요. 저곳의 음식을 먹고 차를 마시고 사람들을 구경해보고싶네요.
